front speaker blowout
Does anyone know an easy way to dismantle the inside of the door trim in order to access the front speaker housing? I have stock Bose speakers and one of them blew the circuit board (and this has happened twice in the rear ones, but they were easier to access).

There is no easy way. Only the hard way.
It would be so much easier if the door was 2 pieces. All we would have to do is remove the bottom piece, which would take about 3 mins, then boom, you have access to the speaker.
It would also be nice if we didnt have to replace these speakers all the time.

man you must really not like music to not care if you only had three speakers dude...... NEWAYZ It is really not that hard to pull off the door panel. You have two circular covers towards the front of the panel. Pop those off and take the phillips screws out behind there. On the handle part near the top towards the front there is another cap; which you pry out with a narrow bladed screwdriver, and then unscrew the phillips beihd there. Then you pull off the trim piece right underneath the doorlatch release(there's a little slot on the front to put a screwdriver in to pry it out) You should see two big phillips there to pull out. Then you pull your door handle up and out and there will be another phillips right there. Then you are basically done. Pry off the door lock trim piece pushing it to the inside of the car to remove it. Pry the lower panel away from the door (plastic things hold it on there) so it is totally free and then you pull it up along the window until the window seals pull out. Make sure that the door latch release goes through the hole designed to accomodate it in the trim panel. Then you disconnect the wiring harness's and its off.
Now go do it... It only takes me 5 minutes tops.

I have a 92 SE with the Bose system that recently had randomly working speakers. I sent all four of them (including the amps) to a place called "willmanselectronics.com" and had them rebuilt for $200.00 which included next day return shipping. Now the sound is incredible. I highly recommend them.
