Carpet Help

So my carpets are Tan and are very stained. Tried using many products and nothing is working well. So my option now is buying new carpet. On ebay there is some carpet for sale from 1981-1994? are they all intechangeable from 81-94? If so i will call some local junkyards and see if they have anything.

Thanks
Ray

My guess would be to stay with 3rd gen, 89-94.

yeah,
you should stick with carpets for 89-94 maximas. i can't imagine that the 1st gen and 2nd gen carpets are cut and molded the same as a 3rd gen. anything is possible though.

Why don't you email the eBay seller and varify if the carpet will fit the 3rd gen, my guess is that it will fit. For me there's so many options why I would or would not go with a junk yard or eBay carpet.
1)There's nothing like a new carpet
2)Time factor for searching the junk yard in search of a good carpet and taking apart the interior.
3)Price comparison between the two

Do a google search. There are several companies that make reproduction carpet for our cars and the price isn't too bad. Usually they run around $150-$200. I think the shipping might be a little high, since it's a fairly heavy, bulky item.

You might even call some local upholstery shops and ask them if they can order the carpet for you.

I doubt the carpet is the same. A lot of auctions like that ask you for your year after you win the auction and then they send you the correct part, but it could be a different part based on your year.
