My engine is knocking like crazy. It doesn't matter what RPM or how much throttle I give it, it does it. It gets really bad with Reg gas. I put in mid or prem and performance goes down, but I still hear detonation, just not as bad . The ECU gives me no codes or anthything. If I retard the timing, it gets worse. Any advice?

look back in the threads...someone just recently had a problem like that and it was a bad lifter...its on page 2 called..."lifters" give a good look and read what people said...it could help you determine the problem
