Hi,

first of you have the vg30e not the vg30de that belong to the 300zx not a max,

and second you would have to fabricate in order to fit the ve into your car,

you would have to swap a lot of parts out of a ve car in order for the engine to work,

i would suggest you good looking for a ve car and dump this car,

unless you want to swap in another vg30e from a 89-94 gxe ,

good point maximagxe90. 89-maxima i was lookin' into this particular swap awhile back and i was told by alot .org members and moderators that by doin' this VG-VE swap is not even worth tryin'. ur better off getting a '92-'94 VE 5-speed then doin' the swap. do this swap i think u would have to relocate motor mounts and brackets, get the VE ECU and harnesses and all of the wirirngs to make the car work. now as for the tranny it will line up to any '89-'94 VG motor. but remember like maximagxe90 said u don't have the VG30DE but u do have the VG30E. the VG30DE is the DOHC motor i believe not a SOHC VG30E motor which is the one that our 3rd gens have. so all in all either do the VG-VG swap or if u want a VE get a '92-'94 VE 5-speed and don't bother with this VG-VE swap cuz its not worth the time. any org member includin' myself and maximagxe90 will tell u this and add more comments that i might have left out or maybe to correct me in anyway for u not to bother with the swap.

Hi,

if you want to do a turbo setup then from a 87-89 300zx that has the engine that would fit our max with some modification on the engine bay for it to work the vg30et,

because mtcookson has already done the swap on his max,

if you need help in this field ask mtcookson and he will point out what you need for the swap,

hope this help,
