ok i was on ebay and came across these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33582 , they're really inexpensive and i know you get what you pay for but i was just wondering if anybody had ever hear of them it strikes me that for that cheap they can't last that long and probably kill you ride. is there any reason i maybe wrong and they may actualy be a good deal?

I dunno, the only springs i have seen for our year maximas have been the same drop front and rear, Ie 1.2 in front and 1.2 in rear. I wouldnt go with the cheap springs b/c they could possibly start saggin, or even worse yet just snap while you are driving. I would get the eibachs if i were you, there expensive but worth it. Goto www.internetautomart.com for them, he has a really good price on them and other brands too.

go for it. Some times you have to just bite the bullet and be the first to try stuff. They are cheap enough that you can try them and if you dont like them or they are junk then sell them for at least half and still not loose much on it.

 

I don't know man, those do look really cheap, i would go with Sprint or some other big name spring, actually if i was to do it all over again i would go with the spring and shock combination

 

their made in japan!.. i would never by anything made in japan!

for real tho: other manufactures that use the same type of metal in their lowering spring production are dropzone,& skunk (not the best of brands, by FAR) these springs are stronger than conventional steel springs, but arent made like the well known Sprint or Eibach,(CNC crafting) my 2 cents... save ur money and get eather the sprint's (made in usa) or eibach's. its the safe choice!, unless u do have the money and time to risk it.

I have the sprints they were pretty affordable too about 100 bucks. It has a nice drop and the ride is ok. It's your money though so do what you want either experiment and get those or save up and get something that you know is good and has worked for other people.

 

New to the board and had to chime in. I noticed on the link above they have Intrax springs w/ a 1.7" drop for $205. Has anyone tried these out? Just curious if you would experience rub w/ that drop and 17s on a 91 SE.

 

Yes I have Intrax and love them (see sig pic in my other post above). rubbing is not really a problem with springs but with the offset of the wheel. I have 17s and have not problems rubbing but I have the correct offset wheels.

ebay habitually offers questionable products with outlandish and often incorrectly-spelled descriptions of the item(s), particularly with car parts.
