I'm New and have a question

Awesome site! I just discovered this site. My name is Carl, and I have a few questions for you about my father's '91 maxima SE. I am used to working on porsche 944's as I have three and I am very active in the SCCA autocross and clubracing. My dad has the maxima and I drive it usually as sort of a daily driver. I am very mechanically inclined and will do all of my own work. I was wondering, SHOX.com sells many types of shocks, I am looking for whatever is closest to OEM or is going to give a decent ride, not looking for a stiff ride as this is a daily driver. I have koni yellows in my porsche track car and I know those are too stiff. Are the sachs/boge shocks for these cars any good or should I splurge for some KYB's haha. Glad I found such a cool website for these cars, I've always had a second love for nissans and loved the maxima since I was a little kid. Thanks for the help!

Before you make a decision, be sure to get a reply from Matt93SE. I think he has put just about every decent + type of struts and springs and most combinations of each on his Maxima. He would probably surprise you on the autocross track, as well!

Welcome to the board and hopefully you can find some useful information.

as an alternative to shox you may want to check out www.internetautomart.com better prices and better service.
of course the owner is an ****

KYB is probably closest to stock, never tried the sachs/boges though, always considered them more of a german shock.

just my .02
