Fixed my broken Moonroof shade!
The brackets on my shade (the sliders) have been broken for about 4 years now. Had to wrestle the thing back and forth to open or close it. Solution -
Buy used shade with sliders intact from org member Maximan190 (thanks, dude).
Drill out 4 sliders from Maximan's shade, drill out 4 sliders from my shade. Poprivet the intact sliders onto my shade, wrestle the sunafabiotch in there and, goldarn, the thing works as good as the day I bought it in '93!!!
Maximan's shade was a different color than mine so I had to fix mine rather than just use his. The toughest part was getting the shade back in without breaking the new sliders. Kinda have to go at it at an angle to get it in, then use a small screwdriver to get the sliders on the track.

Works great for me! This is the second time in the last week that someone has mentioned to me that there are still problems with the search. I wonder if it works only for contributing members?
