Shaky wheel

Hello everyone.
If I go over 60 mph, I feel my car is shaking a lot. I asked one of my friend to follow me and look my wheels. He said that my left rear wheel was shaking left and right.

If I drive around 55 mph. My car is smooth. Is this something that I can fix on my own? Or I really have to go to see a mechanic? Thanks

you will need to take the car in.
But it's probably only your wheels out of balance

I would say that it is unbalanced.

if it's shaking left and right (ball joint) versus up and down (balance) i'd get that fixed asap

i have something similar to that problem and wen i go over 85 it smoothes out again. wat are the chances of me having the same problem with balancing as him?

horror scenario: bearings. this happened to me. first just wobble a bit. higher speeds, too, wobble. then way higher speeds, then vibes evened out. but this is bad = destruction. first, no sound. later, grinding sound, loud = bad = destruction.

you may just need balance. try it. cheap = easy. then if keep shaking = bad = destruction.

Yes. My car and car wheel is shaking when I go over 60 mph to 75 mph. Up to 55 - 60 mph my car is smooth. If I go over 75 mph the car is smooth again. I can go up to 85 - 90 mph with out any problem. The car is just acting funny between 60 - 75 mph.

If the rear is going in and out, Bent rim or bearings. No ball joint in the rear. But if going up and down, could be a bad strut.
