what all the insurence will give me?
or that is how much the damage will cost?

I'm sure they have good insurence, it was an advanced auto parts truck

Not that bad. But if your color is pearl white make sure to get it painted at a good shop because its the hardest color to paint and its a 3 stage paint. Good luck with that!!!!

if the other guy is at fault, then it's not your problem. HIS insurance company pays for it..

but that's about a $1500-2000 dent. the door will be replaced, and the rear corner will have to be worked over. door is $1000 easily if they use new parts. couple hundred if they use a junkyard part, but they'll still want $200 in labor and $3-400 to repaint the door alone.. the body and paint work on the rear corner will cost about $800-1000.

so I'm guessing 1500 minimum, $2000 max.

i'm betting they keep the door but replace the skin only. this is why i said $1000. but this depends on the mechanic and the mood he is in.

come to think of it now, with the 3-part paint, if it is that, it will be more up into $1500. let us know how we did!

Pearl is a 3 stage paint for sure not only is the most expensive color to paint but its the hardest color to match.

yes. this happened to me. someone hit my car when it was parked a few years ago. my car is a 90SE. at the time it was "only" 8 years old. and the insurance payed for all of the damage. anyway, the shop owner felt bad that he could not match the older, yellowed, pearl white with the fresh paint. so he fixed some prior dings and dents unrelated to the accident for free!

I'm trying to get everything stright with the insurance. My insurance is fighting his. See it was advanced auto parts truck and my insurance called him to get a statment and he said that his company won't allow him to make a statment....I'm hoping they dont' say the damage is more then the car's worth because i won't be able to find a car for that cheap. They shouldn't but you never know. The only bad thing is the police report said the guy was going Zero miles an hour....but that wassn't true so my insurance lady called my friend who was in the car to varify he was indeed pulling out and not going zero....so i hope this all gets strigten out and the insurence company puts no blame on me since that officer made that mistake! so I'll keep you guys updated on prices and how much the repair will be =)

btw it is the pearl white color...and i know they are not going to be able to match it....so i'm hoping to get a paint job out of all this as well who knwos tho....

so i'll keep you guys updated

Umm that's impossible. How can someone go "zero" and hit someone else? Maybe you were going sideways???? Cripes, the lengths some insurance companies go to to get out of shat. If the driver won't make a statement, then who WILL??? Effin' ridculas. Find out WHO can make one and tell them to effin' get on the horn and get this thing going.

I'd take it to a shop of YOUR choice. I mean 2-3 of them. Fax them to the insurance company and tell them to hurry up and authorize it so you can get your car fixed. It's your right to take it where you want. Remember that. Also:
1) Research the RETAIL value of your car on the net/paper. So they can't pull that "your car is only worth $1,500 so we will total it crap".
2) Demand a rental car for the duration of the car's repair.
3) If they want to send an adjuster, tell them to hurry the F up.

Remember you must be PROACTIVE in this. They have NO INCENTIVE to hurry and pay out their money.
