9004 to 9007 conversion write ups

Does anyone have a link to do any 9004 to 9007 conversion write ups like in the 4th gen FAQ?

It should be easy, you just swap wires on both sides so you'll need some connectors which are cheapo. Plus you'll need 9007 bulbs, which are rated at 55/65watts and can be bought cheap anywhere. You'll just need to make sure the wires are the same color as the 4th gens, or you'll have to figure out which is the low/high/ground wire. Hopefully, someone with a 3rd gen manual can shed some light into this lighting matter.

According to the directions, seems if you take the cheap route & just swap wires & file the nubs on the inside, this would cost you nothing.

If I go this route, however, will the stock wiring be able to handle the additional 10W for the low beam of the 9007 (55/65) vs the 9004 (45/65)?

Well, If no one has done the conversion yet, I'll be the test dummy. If I end up melting a harness or wire, those aren't that expensive to pickup from a salvage yard.

Black = ground
Red w/ white strip = ?
Red w/ black strip = ?

The wire's leading to the passenger side headlights are:

dont pay attention to the wiring colors, pay attention to the wire placement. The harness is the same because they are both 9004 bulbs stock. Hopefully that makes sense.
