Which alarm system to get?

Now that I got back my car, I am paranoid! So i got the stuff I need to wire up a kill switch, but I want to get an alarm also.

Which one would be the best one (best value) to get for my car? I dont need a remote start but I wouldnt mind one.

What other protective measures do you guys use?

TIA

I just checked out a VIPER 791XV 2 way with remote start at Best buy earlier. $499 w/ install... but they wont install the remote if its a 5 speed From the people i talked to at two different places...they said it was probably one of the best on the market right now. just my 2 cents... probably what im gonna go with since motherfucckers like stealin maximas' these days... before you know it, our insurance rates are gonna be through the roof.

i got the autopage too. Its nice to know that u can be in a busy ***
store and if ur alarm goes off, it'll page you. The remote start is nice too for those
days ur runnin late for work in the mornin u can warm up the max and not lose time.
Make sure to put the stickers on I swear they are half the alarm sometimes.

The guy who had the car before me put an alarm w/ a remote starter on my car and its a 5 speed. Most places dont wanna do it because u gotta kill the safety. Therefor the car if left in gear the car will take off in that direction.but if you go to an independent audio store they will install an alarm with remote starter.

You CAN safely install a remote starter on a 5 speed.

The maxima has a neutral lockout switch, and you can set it up so that it only bypasses the clutch interlock while in neutral.

I did it on mine.

What is the best alarm system with a pager for the best price? I'm looking at spending about $100-$200 on an alarm. I don't need a remote start, so that's not my biggest priority right now, I just need the pager device. Thanks.

in all honesty, i just leave my windows down all the time when i park. this is a great deterrent because there is no challenge or value in the way it looks. i've never been stolen from this way even with junk left in the back seat. and i don't need to worry about broken windows.
