No Speedometer or Odometer Either

A shop diagnosed my problem as needing a new instrument cluster. They said speed sensor was OK. They wanted $360 for new cluster, so I found a used one and installed it. Exact same problem. All guages and lights work except speedo & odo. Where else should I look?
Kirby
P.S. I now have an extra 93 GXE instrument cluster if anybody needs one.

mine jumps around crazy most of the time, works some of the time. they said it was the sensor. and that part is $300. so i have lived with the problem and just work around it. it ain't worth $300 to me. my clock doesn't work either, and i just live with that, too.

The sensor is only $70 at www.rockauto.com
I'm sure you can find it at any number of sites online for WAY less than $300.
By the way, I replaced my sensor and it didn't fix the problem with mine.

Good luck.
