Is this a sign of a bad clutch?

I'm new to this manual transmission deal... So bare with me

I did a couple WOT throttle runs today to practice my launch. I didnt do drop clutch launches but did a couple 2-3K slip-clutch launch because thats how I plan to launch at the track. 1-2shift the revs seem to hang on and didn't feel like grabbing until around 45mph in 2nd gear I can't seem to bark that shift. The 2-3shift was the same, although it didnt hang to the revs as long. The 3-4shift also was the same way. Is this a sign of a slipping clutch? I can still get it into each gear like I would normally and it doesn't seem to act up during routine driving.

thats the high milage stock clutch for you althought a new stocker would fix your problem for the most part your best bet is to get an aftermarket clutch

ill give you my experience. My original clutch was shot and doing what yours is doing so i replaced it with another stock clutch. BAD idea. If you want to launch at the track nicely get an aftermarket one like an act or an exedy stage one. once my clutch goes (and ive been helping it along lately, LOL wife says i can buy cars stuff unless its broke and needs fixin)"""plans devious scheme"""" neway back to my story launching of a stock cluch with my modifications just rips the stocker apart it cant hold the power at all....oh by the way what modifications do you have ? if its stock then it may hold your launches i forgot i have MODS (see sig)

That sounds about how my clutch was when I bought my car. Shifting hard 1-2 the revs would hang on, almost like an automatic. As long as you don't beat on it hard all the time, you should be able to get another couple months out of it. Try flooring it in 3rd or 4th at around 2-3K rpms. If the tach climbs a little bit ahead of the speedo, you probably have a week or two left. Thats how mine was anyways. I would agree with everyone else though, start saving for an aftermarket clutch, and don't wait until your current one dies, because you will most likely be stranded when it does.
