I just got an 89 maxima GXE and it does not have leather. I wan to chang the seats out to leather and I want to know what year maxima seats can be interchanged with an 89 maxima. The reason why I ask is because my last car was a neon and every seat from every year neon were interchangable with each other.

I also wanted to know what year maxima steering wheels can be interchanged with the 89 steering wheel. I would use the cruse all the time so I would also have to find a way to wire the cruse controls up into the new steering wheel.

I normally use the search before I start a new thread but the search was down so sorry if this question has been asked before.

new to the org, welcome. my g.f. has a 3rd gen, i think any 3rd gen seats can fit, i even seen 4th gen seats in a 3rd gen and i have my old ( but new) 97 accord seats -cough- in my 4th gen, with little work, they fit great, so keep an eye out.

 

89-94 seats all work. They are all the same "generation" Max (3rd Gen). Matt93SE installed racing seats in his max and it looks sweet. I think just about any other seat (95+) you will have to do some fabrication to the rails and brackets to make them work.

89-92 non-airbag steering wheels will all work for sure. All Maximas come with cruise.
89-92 non-airbag 240sx steering wheels will work (cruise will work, if it has it).
90-92 non-airbag 300zx steering wheels will work (cruise will work).

I think basically any late-80s/early 90s Nissan steering wheel with cruise built into it will work. Stanza is the same as 240sx steering wheel. I have seen guys with s13s put in JDM Nissan steering wheels (Skyline, Sylvia) but I have no idea which ones have cruise on it.

Any cars with airbags, I don't know anything about. I have a 91 240sx SE steering wheel (with cruise) on my car

I dont think I made it clear that when I change out my seats I want to change all of them out. the front and the back seats. I want it all to match. does anyone have pics of different seats in there maxima?
