You just have to call local places and go get estimates.

If they have to replace the quarter look to spend $1500-$2000 or more. If they just pull it and bondo it will be much cheaper (and bondoier lol).

just go get some estimates from reputable shops.

that picture sucks, but it doesn't look that bad. I'd probably still say $1000 though. you're not going to pay a shop less than $500 for the paint, and they usually don't let you get away with less than $500 in body work as well- especialyl if that's a pearl finish.

I'm going to try and get a better pic of it.....cuz i was getting prices like 650 or 750, but 1000......wow

I don't even think the car's worth that money.

The dent is probably the size of a volleyball. The mechanic said i needed to pull out the dent and try and match the paint. But even 650 is way over my budget esp. when i'm only in college.

Thanks everybody

1) They will fix it and not total it.
2) They will pay the body shop exactly how much it will take to fix it. (though the insurance company) So you don't really need to worry about that.
3) If you are going to pay for it, it will cost exactly how much local body shops will charge you to fix it. Regardless of what we say it will cost, it will come down to what local shops will charge you. Because in the end, you are limited to where you can go to get it fixed.

And why isn't your brother paying?

He gave a set of 4 1998 SE rims as compensation, but my brother's in college too.......so i cant really expect him to really just put that kind of money out there........ doing business wit fam is a pain in the a**.

And supposedly he never waited to speak with the bus driver...... He was afraid he'd get his 11th point so he just drove off. He didn't want to get his license revoked.....lol. Pissed me off knowing that I could've had my entire car done over, but my dumb bro was too chicken to face DMV.

So now.....the money is coming out of pocket. MY POCKET!!!!! UGH!!!

Thanks

1) Just punch the dent out from the inside and call it a day until later.
2) Don't ever let you dumb **** brother touch your car again.

I got tagged by a drunk driver a few months ago and had a little bit worse damage but in the same spot. They had to replace the fender and rear bumper cover. Total came to $2780. I got two estimates, the other was $2600. Bad spot to be hit.

I got a big suction cup from harbor freight. It was around $5 or so on special. It basically is a big suction cup with a handle on it. You put it on and then lock the handle and it sticks like crazy.

I used it on my Toyota van with great results.

Here are some before and after pics...

Before:

After:

Now I couldnt use it to fix the bottom part but I used it to fix the top and it popped right out. It still has some small wrinkles that look like small door dings but its a lot better than it was.

My parents used to have a previa when they first came out in 91, oddly enough, the same year as my maxima currently is...

Oh don't worry.....

He wouldn't even think twice about driving my car, now that he bought himself a 5th gen. Max Se. He went and bought himself a 2000 SE after 6 or 7 months after the accident.

But hey, at least i get to drive his max when i can.....and besides what else can you do but deal with it.........it's family.

He actually just has a lot of road rage (he's not a bad driver at all); but i still got love for him....wut else can i do...he's my brother.

Thanks.....might end up going with Maaco too

road rage = bad driver.

drove into the side of a school bus, there's no defending that with road rage. that's just poor driving or flat out stupidity. it would be one thing if he tried to bully around a Yugo or a Festiva, but ro run up against a BUS?!
