How to replace or retread a hub bolt?
My first post concerning my first self-purchased car ever, so this is huge for me...
I just took my 3rd gen max to get the wheel balancing done. In the process of taking the lug nuts off with their power gun (an air compressed lug nut remover drill, I dont know the real name), I managed to mess up the treads on one of the hub bolts. (This is exactly why I always loosened and tightened the lugs nuts by hand, should've stuck to my ways and not gone for the fancy piece of junk.)
I can now only put 4 out of the 5 lug nuts on comfortably. The fifth lug nut can be put on, but I don't think this will be wise, considering the treads on the hub bolt are pretty much shot.
My question...is there any way I can replace or retread the hub bolt. I know I can get the part for less than 5 dollars. Some ideas I've managed to read about are thread chasers, dies, and replacing the bolt completely. I understand a complete replacement might involve pressing the bolt in or screwng it in. Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.
My motivation for asking to do this myself...Out of curiosity I stopped at a local gas station and they estimated a single hub bolt replacement at ~150 dollars. I know a mechanic who will do a cheaper and better job.
Once again, any information that can be given, I am very grateful. Any information/specification/diagrams concerning the hub and hub bolts would also be appreciated. (Maybe the size and pitch of the bolts would help)
Thanks...

Most of your local parts stores should carry the wheel stud. autozone has them for $1.19.... this may help too..http://www1.autozone.com/servlet/UiB...3d801f585d.jsp

also, if it's not that bad most tire stores will rethread it for cheap.
I took mine to Tire Factory when I accidentally stripped mine by putting on the wrong lug nut (doh!) and they rethreaded it for free. My company does a lot of business with them, so I think they didn't really mind.
