as you can see Im new to the org and I cant use the search b/c its down so I was wondering if there is a vin decoder for the maximas.

what are you looking for in the VIN that you can't tell by a description of the car?

like I said Im new to the maxima "world". my last car was a neon and you couldnt really tell a whole lot by the model of the car. I just always thought a vin decoder was neat because it usually tells you where your car was made and Im not sure if you can do this with the maximas but with my neon you could take your vin # to the dealership and they could print out EVERYTHING about your car. it tells you what options came on the car when it was ordered, I even found out that my neon was used as a show car for chrysler. I just think stuff like that is neat to know about your car.

 

Carfax will tell you a lot of that stuff, but the VIN decode stuff is usually a dealer-only item.

options and stuff are either going to be there or they're not. power seats, leather, sunroof, bose, abs, airbag. that's about it on these cars.

for our cars it is jn1 then the last numbers and letter between,

say for mine is JN1HJ0 and the rest,

when i check this vin it says a 92 max,

 

 

Read the decoder, and you'll see just how rare my max really is
