Gotta get some struts!!!!!!!!!!!!

i need some new struts for my 92 se. i dont need performance struts, just some oem replacements. what inexpensive ones do u recommend. Also i want to tackle the replacement myself, but kind of scared about the way the spring poppoed out of the compressor on the strut change of my last car. had my finger hurting 4 days. wasnt my fault, person doing the compessor asked for help and i got caught in the crossfire. should i do it myself and and save 4-600 bucks or pay all that money. also when i search for struts they ask about some knid of electronic air level or something what is it.

Just get KYB GR2s if you don't need performance. Do it yourself, there is a great write-up on 4dsc.com and for $400-600 (a ripoff for a spring / strut install by the way), you can buy all the tools you need and more for the work. Harborfreight sells a $40 spring compressor which is really nice, and I've rented one from Autozone a few times, and it has never felt unsafe. It has pins in it that prevent the sliding you talk about.

If you just want stock replacements and the car is not lowered, you can get whatever you want. If you want a bit of an "upgrade" then get the KYBs you can save a couple of bucks and get some monroe/gabriels but they aren't considered as good.

I sell KYB and monroe, not too mention most other brands

I wouldn't recommend the Gabriels. They arent very good. I went with them at first because they were a little cheaper compared to the KYB (only for the rear) but the were way too soft. They felt just like me old struts only they didnt make the noise. So I returned them and went with the KYB's. Much better!
