Our 92 Maxima GXE engine light came on yesterday and today when you turned the key, and when it started up, the car was idling rough and the engine light went off.

Does anyone know what could be the problem? Could it be the oxygen sensor?

proboly an injector but could be ignition related

pull the codes and tell us what they are for further help

same exact thing happened to me a week ago. my 90 max started very rough, engine light came on for a minute or so and then the light shut off.

well, i drove for about a week after the incident, and i noticed that the acceleration had become extremely sluggish so i decided to let my mechanic take a look at it. turned out i needed a couple new fuel injectors. no biggie, it's not like it will cause a no start or something..

thanks defcore for the advice. we did not have the problem today at all, it comes and goes away. i'll check it out.
