Biggest pain in the ***

What would you guys say is the biggest pain in the *** to remove from our cars. My vote would be the digital climate control. It toke me over an hour to figure out how to get that damn thing out.

Owned. My first engine lasted quite a few years. Your car even running yet?

BTW. Got the locks off Mon. Will be scheduling the axles maybe Wed. So I can hopefully give your cores back asap.

Running: Yes
Off Jackstands: No
I haven't really had time to deal with my car lately. I spent an hour at Big O yesterday but we couldnt get the bushing out.

Also from the other thread, if you need me to get more hose I can then I can just give it to you when you give me back the axles

Have to get back to you on that. I don't need that much for the one intake. But my "other" project uses 2.5" couplers

I dont think there is anything on the 3rd gen I havent taken off except the heater core and engine/trans. I have had all my interior out (including carpet, dash etc.) have done a drivers and passenger quarter (2 drivers on one car ), all the doors, fenders, hood, trunk, bumpers, all suspension pieces etc.

I really dont want to find out how hard the heater core is though.

Seriously I gotta say the hardest for me so far was re-replacing the quarter on the same car since its more than just spot welds you have to cut out.

I will be welding it up tonight hopefully. I have it held in place with a bunch of vice grip clamps right now. I have to pull it off, prime it with weld thru primer, put it back on and weld her up. I should have that quarter completely finished and slick by then end of the weekend I hope.

I would've said waterpump, but I didn't scream and cry as mych as I thought I would. I pray I never have to deal with a heater core...hence my flushing it today.

BWAHAHA!
you guys are all wusses!

water pump, control arm bushings.. exhaust studs... MERE CHILD'S PLAY I tell ya!

want a real challenge? try removing the intake manifold on a KA24DE engine while it's still in the car. pick a car- 240 or Altima. they're both a nightmare. (nissan quotes it as a 9 hour job to remove it!)
