I have a 91 MAXIMA Broughnam GXE. Have problems with OEM anti-theft system going off when I open the trunk using a key or aftermarket keyless entry. I am able to disable it after I manually unlock the doors, though still a nuicance.

 

trunk lock sensor isn't functioning correctly

 

fix or swap the sensor? which is easier?

 

kill the alarm..it's virtually use less and very easilly bypassed by thieves.

i believe the module is under the dash...on the driver side...pretty much above your right knee (sitting in the seat).

right side is door lock timer and cruise, left is security and time control unit




edit: just realized he's in Canada

the security unit for Canadian models is located above the glove box (gotta remove that)
