When I first sart my car, I hear an exhaust leak from the engine compartment. It sounds like a manifold gasket leak, but once the engine warms up the leaks stops. Could this be the manifold gasket of flange gasket?

thanks,

Yup manifold gasket leak. But it's becuase one of the two(each port has two studs/nuts) is broken, allowing exhaust to leak when cold. But after it warms up, it seals the leak. You should consider getting this repaired sometime in the not to distant future. Get ALL of them replaced or else another one will break and you have to pay for labor again.

Ive got an exhaust leak too. I was just about to post about it too.

Personally, I like hearing the nice exhaust note when Ive got the windows or sunroof open.

How much to repair manifold gasket?
