Sunroof one-touch switch

Just curious if anyone modify the sunroof switch or relay to make it open or close with just one touch of the button.

Wouldn't that present some sort of safety issue - in case someone was fool enough to have an arm/hand/leg/head hanging out?? And heaven forbid if you've got something REALLY sturdy - like a 2x4 - hanging out and inadvertantly press the button...

one of these days I'm going to take the sunroof controls from a 5th gen and put them on my 3rd gen (they are the one touch kind).

Arm/Hand/Leg/Head/2x4 Issue: not my problem

hmm...i havent seen what they look like on the 5th gens, but I sure as heck want to do that. Then I can finally have fully remote controlled and one-touch windows all round

Or you could buy a window roll up kit off ebay for $15, add it to your car alarm and control it with that remote, and then get the 5th gen switch and hook that up inside. VIOLA!!

I doubt the 5th gen sunroof switch would fully close ours with one touch though. The reason i say that is because ours has a two-step closing process, and I'm pretty certain it's a mechanical stopper and not electronically controlled. If it didnt have that, I wouldnt need the 5th gen switch. I'd simply add a dei 52t to my current modules and be done with it.

One of my friend found one for his Contour. But since it was installed, I don't want to open his and found out what is in there.
