I'm going to be selling my JWT ECU pretty soon........

and i was wondering how many prospective buyers would be interested in buying my used one. It's not for sale now cause i have to get a used ECU. The reason i'm selling it is because I will be going with N20 and I can't use the upgraded ECU anymore. anyway, just wondering how many people would be interested.

crap, I wish I had some extra money...

If you have any trouble and haven't sold it in a month or so, shoot me a PM.

I also have a spare 5-speed ECU to swap in, so you wouldn't have to worry about finding one or having any down time.

I'm not selling it yet, but I will be in a couple of months. I almost have the money I need for N20. So like I said; I'll announce to you guys when i'm ready to sell it; so there's still time.

You do know that you could run say the NXL 6 cylinder kit with the maximizer and program it to retard the ignition timing while using the n2o. Since the NXL kit is direct port you don't have to upgrade the injectors, just the fuel pump and get a FPR. It should give you great performance and you should consider getting a wideband o2 anyway.

but you will still have 5 gears and a clutch so your still miles ahead

I just pulled it out of my car yesterday, I have 5spd chip to go into the ECU and the auto chip to go into the ECU so which ever u have it WILL work. 7000rpm rev limit. Its for sale as of now. pm me if you want. i also was gonna start bid at 300$.

300 bucks? Seems like parts for these cars run pretty cheap. I just had my ECU reflashed on my WRX and it ran like 700 bucks. Over all, are hop up parts relatively cheap for the maxima's?

waaaaaaay too much hassel and a tad too much money. I already looked into it. What you just stated would cost well over $1500+. I can spend $450 for a NX wet kit, $350 for a vavle body upgrade and I'm ready to go.

There aren't a bunch of 'hop-up' parts available for the 3rd gen - some, but not many. Most of the more "exotic" stuff (turbos, for instance) are one-off, custom made stuff.

OT: What color is your WRX? And were you at the Devil's Run back in June?

damn i sold my JWT for way more than 300 but anyway if you're going N20 route why not get the JWT daughterboard so you can still use the ECU? just a thought and something you may want to look into.

the ECU new is 550 or so. what year is your Rex? what or who did you use for the reflashing? I'm waiting on my AccessPort still. Seems like the cheapest/easiest/best bang for buck alternative as far as price to performance

It does work. Shawn and I put his AT ECU into my car when I was having stalling problems. It worked just fine (problem turned out to be a coil pack). The only thing different is the VI doesn't kick in, which Shawn mentioned.

I am not sure if the 5-speed ECU will work with an AT, however.

I already looked into that also. There is a way to run the JWT ECU and still be able to run N20. However this is what I would need:
JWT ECU flip switch: $351
JWT ECU N20 tune: $650 (might i add it is only good to run a 65 dry shot.
THAT'S IT!!!!)
By just putting in the stock ECU, i can run more than a dry 65 shot of N20 and be more safe about it by not stressing the injectors. I want to run a 75 or a 100 without breaking the bank or my motor.

I went through www.vishnutuning.com They are one of the best tuners for the subaru's. Kinda pricey though, but you know what they say, you get what you pay for. As far as ECU reflashing, Vishnu is the best. Nobody even comes close to their tuning ability for 91 octane gas. I'm running their stage 1 at 310 - 315 HP. So, I mean, you really can't beat them. If you have any more questions Chris91SE. Just PM me.

No I wasn't at Devils run. I haven't hear of that. Is it pretty big in Devils Lake?
