Hi all,
Looking for suggestions on the best oils for engine and transmission (a/t).

I read somewhere there was a large thread or FAQ on this site all about oils, but no search function to find it. Anyone know where it is, or care to recommend their fav oils ?. Specific questions are:-

1. Best type / grade for high mileage engine (approaching 200k miles) ?.

2. Tranny - should I go for a flush or drain ?. It's beginning to show signs of slip (2,4) but hoping to nurse it for a while using something like Lucas Transmission Fix. Any experiences with this product or similar ?.
