New crank angle sensor...how much should this be?

Alright, I found the problem with my car, and its my crank angle sensor that has been going bad. So, I have already spent almost 200 for my mechanic to diagnose this problem, because he had to run many tests just to find what was going wrong (according to him). Now, he also said for parts and labor, the total will be up to 640 or so on the replacement....does this sound right? He isn't going to fix it until monday, so I have a few days to figure out what Im going to do...

If you have a VE, then labor should be 5 minutes to take the old one off, 5 minutes to put the new one on, and 15 minutes to get the timing set. I'm sure the part is very expensive from a dealer. I think I have one from my parts car, if you are interested.

the VE crank sensor is EXPENSIVE, but it's cheaper dealer than aftermarket
