I have a dead temp gauge in my gauge cluster... I have another cluster with another cluster with a working temp gauge and I want to put the working gauge in the cluster that came out of my car... How do I do it... do I just take off the screws in the back and change the fuel gauge and temp gauge as one unit or do I have to change them individually... I'm at a loss of how to do this and I don't want just try it and end up breaking stuff...

Thanks...

Before you do this, did you make sure it wasn't the water temperature sensor? The gauge has its own sensor, which is next to the engine coolant temp sensor.

whats black in color?

Ok I know its the gauge because I plugged in my other gauge pod and let the engine warm up... the needle climbed off the pin and up towards the middle of the gauge... so its either the gauge or one of the connections in the gauge cluster that came with the car... I dont want to keep the spare gauges I plugged in since it doesn't have the abs light and it has 20,000+ more miles on it than the original one form the car... so ! just want to swap the gauge in... not the whole cluster.

edit: just decided to go ahead and try it... just had to take 6 screws out and the gauges(gas, temp) came out as a unit and went back in the reverse... problem solved!
