Has anybody put eye lids on their car?

i tried making a template with masking tape, just to see how it would look and all that, and I realized that there is a little spikey/pointy thing on the OEM headlights. I dont know how this is going to work...

I'm contemplating fabricating some eyebrows for my e36's. Not paint on or anything though, I'll get some fiberglass together and make a mold of the lights and have a removable/bolt on eyelid

i had the e36 eyelids on mine but the thing is since the lights arent flush in the first place they look wierd, especially if you paint them to match the body. the second thing is the weather strips that sit on top of your headlight kinda sag over the lid, i thought about trimming them but just about everything on the car has a purpose and i didnt want any extra water coming in my engine bay. the last prob is that the e36 corner lights have a more obtuse curve, and the top curves down so you got to cut the ends off, and the corner lights get no love.
