I know alot of people are interested, but I believe only a small number have really done it? Oh well. Block, I must admit, your job looks sweet.

Funkdoobiest, all I got to say is if your thinking about doing it, dont beat around the bush n hurry up n do it...I did it about 2yrs ago. First saw it wuz at that smx maxima site. I actually wanted to do it 3yrs ago but I was in the Army n did'nt have my car with me. But like I said go for it. If u can try around your area n see if theres a bmw junkyard. I went to 1 here where I live but they didnt have n e good 1'ns, but ordered from a company up in New Jersey which sells the housings for $70.00 both sides. (I laugh when people say they paid $300 plus for theres hehe) If the junkies aint got it, they know about that company... Ill post pics lata since Im at school now of mines to well just show u.....
Hope I still got those pics....

At my old job(BMW), this 318 came in with a Mercedes SLK supercharger and a projector version of these E36 headlights. I don't know if it was factory, but if I ever did this, I would be sure to get those.

Does somebody have detailed instructions posted somewhere on how to do this headlight conversion?

I found the new Hella headlight units for $70 each here http://www.turnermotorsport.com/catalog/catalog.htm under LIGHTING. They also have the projector units for $439 a pair(ouch), but I'd do it, it's different. Then I'd buy a true HID kit like my 3000GT. Mmmmm, I really want a Maxima now.

3000GT's are tight too, nothing to regret... anyway those projector units are sweet! Damn, 439 is a little cheaper than $575 or $620, but still those are sweet and different.

No regret. I want a Maxima for a second car. I've had a kid since I got the GT with another one in the oven. I want something roomy and nice, but with power. Oh, I forgot----I have to like it----alot.
