Replacing all six is gonna cost you lost of $$$. Replace the one that is bad. Most people recommend buying new ones instead of the rebuilt ones which of course most peole dont lisdten to because rebuilts are cheaper. I went with a rebuilt one and it was fine for a day but now it is acting up.

For new ones check http://internetautomart.com/ he has a link for them. I got my rebuilt one from DirectAuto.com . It was $35 plus a $12 core charge. I got the Python rebuilt injectors. It comes with a lifetime warranty but If it craps out I am just gonna go with a new one instead and save myself the time to change it again.

rebuilts on the 89-91 VG have a 50% defect rate.
unfortunately as stated above new one's are pricey.
I know that when I did my VE's injectors the rebuilts crapped out and I just started to replace them with new one's. I've replaced 7 injectors so far.

oh, and last night I added them to my own site as well.

I've bought 2 from directauto.com. One lasted about a year, the other about 2 weeks. They supposedly have a warranty, but I haven't had much luck with that.

Nissan has the worst rebuilt injectors.
Something in the design makes them darn near impossible to rebuild correctly.
I am saying that from experiance, not just because I'd rather sell new ones (rebuilt has more profit)

injector testing

I hold my breath as I ask this question, but how do you test the injector; listen for a ticking noise while running, use some type of test meter or check ECU for code???

check resistance across the 2 terminals. Should be 10-14 ohms (I think)

That's my opinion, anyway. The only other suggestion I can give is to pick up some used ones on eBay. Hit or miss, but I've been able to pick up some relatively low mileage ones for $60 a set. Again, they're used, but I'm willing to take a chance for $60...(because I'm poor)

In fact, that's how I solved my last injector problem- pulled the POS reman one out and dropped in one of the used ones (after I ohmed it of course) and it works like a champ.

it may be cheaper, but they still are no better than a reman set. you don't know if they had problems or what.

yes, but they had it then and the guy told me lifetime warranty and its the best injector made for the car, so....
i am having trouble getting the new injector in to the fuel rail. I did not take the rail off, but would it be easier to get it on if i take the rail off?
