are they "new" vtcs or are they rebuilt vtcs?
you said 1200 to fix so I assume they are repaired. Then again the repair kit is only about $30 or so I think so if you paid 1200 to repair them you got ripped off.
Anyway if they are new then you can probably get a couple hundred out of them but if they are rebuilt then maybe $50. Thats just my opinion though so who knows.

ok but if you are not 100% sure then you cant sell them as new.
Did it cost $1200 for the dealer (or mechanic) to repair and replace them. In other words did the mechanic install the VTCs on the car or did you buy the VTCs adn do the work yourself?
My guess is that they are rebuilt because its a lot of work to replace them and if they charged you $1200 then I think they just rebuilt the VTCs. I think that new VTCs are around $400-500 each so that wouldnt leave you with much to cover labor.
Anyway my guess is that they are rebuilt and you should try to get $50-60 or heck even try for $100 if you can but I wouldnt think you would get more than that.

Personally I would say atleast $80 (bare minimum) just because of how much the rebuild kits cost and some labor. Only a few people on here would actually attempt to rebuild them theirselves, and when you consider dealerships cost to rebuild, its a good deal too.
Personally if I rebuilt a set I would ask for $160-200 for them.

The whole problem is that unless they're provable brand new, most people would be leary of them.
I know personally I'd be pretty cautious buying any rebuilt VTC's.. I'd want to do them myself or know personally that they were done competently. IMO it's just too big a risk to take blindly to trust that something that fail prone was done properly. That's why I'm gonna say no more than $100
