Should I Partout-or Sell for 1100

Okay My car was wreked into

so i have that wrong with it.... &
2 exhaust studs are broken
the speedometer cluster was changed (gxe to se) and found out about so the title has miles difency
so the miles say 136000 but it really has 145,000

so i don't know what to do with it...insurence is giving me the whole price of the car so im looking for a new max or something

so i dont knwo if i should part it or sell it for like 1100 or a grand or something

so input would be a help

You will probly get get more than $1100 parting it out, but it will be spread out over time. I guess it depends on how bad you need the money.

you dont want to part it out unless you have a place to put it and leave it for a while. I am not talking a week or 2 or even a month or 2. The only problem is that the 3rd gen market is pretty saturated right now because so many people are parting out their car. I would try to sell it but I would think you could get more than $1100 for it but if you want a quick sell then $1100 will get it. Or just get a door and put it on there (maybe try to pull the edge of the quarter out). if you were not so far away I would give you my pearl white door. It doesnt have any big dents in it but it may have some dings.

Arent there any boneyards around you, so you can change the door?
I think you could get more than $1100, maybe around 16-1900 AS IS. Why didnt you swap the odometer when changing the gauges??? and how did they find out?

How much did they give you for the car? Is it a salvage title now??

No salvage title just says on the milage difecency....and when i bought the car from my uncles buddy he told me he had to put it on....since he was a dealer and it would get him introuble if he didn't.

changing the door is only the starts of the problems

exhaust studs are getting worse by the day.

i mean i would like 1100 but honestly i wouldn't mind parting it but i figured since the odemeter thing wouldn't be able to sell it.

if you tell the potential buyer everything, i think he/she will believe you about why it says mileage disrepancy. If you are thinking about parting out, you better be ready to have a it sit there for a long time like awsm66 said. And you would be taking out the engine/tranny right?? If you have enough skill to do that why not fix the exhaust studs yourself? How do you know that 2 are broken? How much did insurance give you for the car?

you might as well just sell it. You might be able to get more money parting it out, but that would be spread out over several months and you would still be stuck with what's left.

Since the car runs and drives right now, just sell it. There is probably someone with body work experience and mechanical skill that can turn it back into a nice driver, or at least someone would buy it for a work car.

You should sell the car. Why would you want to go through the hassle of parting out a car that is perfectly good besides for needing some minor body work. The damadge doesnt look bad at all.

selling it whole is a lot easier.
Unless you have a space and time to part it out.
and a way to dispose of the carcass.

try posting in the "Maximas" for sale section. Do a little explaining and someone might want it for a work car there. I think virtually everone in the 3rd gen section already has a 3rd gen...
