different question about door locks

O.k. I have read the post about the door lock timer, but the problem I am having seems to be a bit different. On the drivers door when I open it from the inside the lock actually moves slightly towards the locked position. It opens still from the inside of the car but not the outside. It is easy enought to just make sure I pull the lock up before I get out but I do suffer from short term memory loss so I still forget sometimes. If there is anyone that can give me an idea of what to do I would be grateful.

ok I pulled the door panel but I can't see what is making the door lock come down when I pull up the handle. It doesn't go down far enough to let the car know its lock because if I leave the keys in the ignition and shut the door it stays locked but if I press the lock down then shut the door it will unlock them per the safety feature. Does anyone know what might be catching or maybe what part is worn?

Me too. but this max was cheap. so I bought it and don't regret it for a moment ( except when the tranny doesn't engage from a stop )

I got this one for cheap as well and so far I like it alot for a fwd,

As far as the door locks it is inside the lock itself which leads me to believe it is the actuator.( Thanx Port) Is there a way to repair this? I do believe I read a write up on this but I can't search so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction
