My transmission has started to act up when cold. It is like the tranny doesn't know which gear it wants to go in so it sort of hunts up and down through 3rd and 4th if you are travelling at about 70 - 80 Kph. Once the car has been runnning for 5 to 10 minutes no problems. Also the lockup torque converter won't lockup until the car is warm also. This is normal though, right??

This is normal (except the hunting). There is a fluid temp sensor in the transmission, and the fluid has to be above 50 C for OD to engage.

Thanks

I thought so but needed to confirm. Now to "hunt" down the real problem.
