i've encountered the same thing, so i can translate this a little better: 1st. i bet he's got an automatic. he's saying that while 'coasting' the rpm drop and there is a slight 'tug' as the car slows down, very subtle, often repetitive. a feeling like downshifting, but occurs in an automatic and ONLY while coasting.
iacv a good idea but, at least in my case, it only happens when the car is coasting between 25 mph and 45 mph or so and there is no gas being applied. the studder/drop never occurs any other time. i've had this for about a year and it never improves or gets worse so i've never tried to tackle it or bother anyone with it. it also happens only a few times a month... could be a symptom of the crappy trans.
