yeah..i have access to a lift...engine hoist...whatever i need...i'm goin to school for automotive technology...so i have access to whatever tools i need...i'm tryin to make my engine swap go as quick as possible since i took the heads off my engine to replace the valves...since i thought my timing belt broke...but i found out that the idler or tensioner pulley broke off...so i'm taking the engine out and replacing it with the engine from my other max

If you have access to a lift then the easiest way is to drop if from the bottom. Drop it with the tranny an engine together and then seperate them once you have it out of the car. easier that was.

When I swapped my engine I didnt have acces to alift so I had to take it out from the top. It wasn't that hard just it was a little tight. Plus you have to move mor stuff out of the wasy when taking it from on top. I took out the tranny and engine together.

i figured that would be the easiest way going out of the bottom...i don't have anything on top of the engine...it's just the bottom end...i took the heads, intake plenum and all of that stuff off...but im most likely gonna go out the bottom...do you think it would be easier to put the other engine in through the top or bottom

if you're going to school would it be better to ask the teacher or maybe figure it out from your own experience and know how?

and yes bottom on both.

What Danno said.. best to learn from your own experiences. I've learned more from going out and doing than I ever did from sitting here reading.

i did ask my teacher and he said it would probably be easiest going out through the bottom...i was just asking on here because i know a bunch of people have removed engines before...and yes it is best to learn on your own but it is also good to ask for advice from people with experience...thanks for the advice all
