High or Low Compression?

I have a 90 SE and I'm probably gonna rebuild the engine in a couple months. I was thinking of going with the ROSS Performance Pistons (10-1 comp ratio). I was wondering if thats a good choice or if i should lower compression instead. Before anyone asks, no I'm not planning on boosting. But is there any other reason for lowering compression. If anyone knows of any where else I can get a good rebuilding kit let me know. Thanks.

if you want some more power but don't want to go with boost higher compression would be the way to go.
