Strut repalcement question?

My 92 SE has 137K on it now. I purchased it last year and have put on 20K since then. It seems to ride very firm and makes a thud sound when going over bumps and also sounds like something is loose around the right rear area of the suspension. I'm thinking that it needs new struts and plan on buying KYB's from the Tire Rack. My question is (anyone with supension expertise) do I need to replace the strut mounts and front mount bearings also? Can the thud sound and loose sound be cause by something else also? Thanks in advance for your help.

i would suggest you replace the upper strut mounts. they come with new bearings iirc. also you should replace the control arm bushings.
when the control arm bushings are shot they'll cause some clunking noises.
