Tach stays at about 700rpm hmmmm?

Anyone ever have this happen to you?

Without the key in the ignition, with it in, in the acc and on positions it just stays like this. When I ran the car it seemed normal, but it just stays like this. Anyone know what would cause this?

I know nissan had issues with speedos doing that on hardbodies...I had an 88 and it happend..Is the needle bent at all that u can see? i used to live in so cal where triple digit weather multiplied in a closed up vehicle. I just took the gauge cover off and bent it back. may not be ur issue but ya never know!
