Head Bolt Question......

I picked up the head from the machine shop today after having it milled. The shop guy told me that the head bolts are stretch bolts and that I should install new ones....do I really need to ....this is for the VE engine.

I dont have the Nissan FSM I have A chilton service manual, and it does not say anything about replacing the head bolts, just keeping them in order.....the damn things cost over 50 bucks to replace them... I have paid out 475.00 to just replace one head gasket on this car and I`m running out of money.....and I`m doing the work myself

you paid $475 to replace the head gasket and you're not willing to spend $50 more to get new bolts to hold down the head to the gasket so it won't blow again.

do YOU think that's a wise decision?
