Need Help With New Speakers
Hello,
I need help big time before I go crazy!!!
I have a 92 maxima and I am trying to change the rear speakers cause they both died (the guy at the audio shop says the JVC FX-220 I installed 2 years ago is the reason why).
I got a pair of PIONEER TS-A6990R on Ebay for $75.00 (brand new) and would like to intall them myself. I have never done this before and really don't wanna screw up. Could you tell me how to do this? I was told that I can't use the factory amps (Is it true? )and I have to bypass them. How do I do that? Would just buying speaker wiring harnesses take care of it?
Please help! I feel unbalanced! my ride is not the same these days!!!!
Thank you!

you need to bypass the factory clarion amp, you can get a amp bypass kit from bestbuy for about 16 bucks, you need to take out your rear seats to get to the wires, instead of the wires going to your amp it will come directly from your headunit to the speakers, your head unit is the new amp. this will make your new spearkers sound a whole lot better.
