AC/lighter Power Outlet Doesn't WOrk

Sorry if this has been covered, i looked but couldn't find anything.

So anyways, i always use the outlet to power my iPod but one day the outlet just gave out. I can't get any power from it anymore. I thought it was a fuse problem, but i checked the fuse box and nothing is blown there. Is there like an In-line fuse behind the outlet? What should i check/try? I'm getting bored of my CD's and need my iPod :P. Thnx...

Hi Poowill , look in the fuse box on the drivers side for tha fuse .... if not broken remove and take a multimeter and take black cable and hook to a good metal peace of frame ... take red one and touch inside the fuse panel left and then righ side inside the fuse slot if reading in voltmeter 12 volt the problem is in between the fuse box and the cigaret lighter plug .... if so you can remove the plug by removing the panel thta holds it and look for connection in back of it... this is a problem that might be cause by a car radio installer also on my car had the connectors loose by frequent in and out of device in the lighter plug..... if no 12volt in there that might be a accesories relay that is dead ...........good luck .....im electronic tech and can help later ..... not often on that forum ... but looking for post once an a while ..... joys of beeing always on the road !

or check connector to cig adapter itself (remove front panel - it's not hard at all - takes 2 mintes). see if it is loose or/and check if it gets any power with a meter
