Transmission modification

i was told that there is a way to modify your transmission to where it would shift hrder and quicker and help to make the max faster. i was told you can do this without buying anything and you just have to change up some wires. if anyone knows how to do this please let me know i would really like to give it a shot. http://members.cardomain.com/nymax91

auto tranny right?!...free? never herd of it, but there WAS a valvebody mod (not sure if there still being made) it involves replacing your trannys currant valvebody with a MODed one and it shifts harder a bit faster, But most importantly... extends the life of the crappy automatic transmission.

do not touch that dropping resistor.

if you want firmer shifts then get a modified VB.

P.S. stop putting your link to your homepage on the posts you make.

Little info about it. Don't expect your car to get faster. It will just quicken the shifts. It won't yield better dyno results. You might shave one tenth in the 1/4 mile. But you won't be noticably faster.

The plus sides are that you get quicker shifts and a smile on your face. I love mine. Very crisp shifts! My car breaks the tires lose everytime I shift into 2nd gear above 5K rpm.

Get new motor mounts b/c when you have these incredibly fast shifts, the motor doesn't always stay with you. It will clunk around more. New motor mounts will make your shift feel AWESOME. I filled mine with urethane... no clunking here!

Also, since you will have quicker shifts, that means, less slippage, which means less heat due to slippage. Less slippage also means a more reliable tranny and it should last longer.

You should always get a tranny cooler reguardless if you are doing this mod. Your tranny fluid temps can get pretty hot and a tranny cooler can keep them under control. 9 out of 10 auto trannies die b/c of heat!

Only deal with www.maximumtuning.net!! If you find anything about Don Cooper or MobileTek, stay FAR away from him. Just stick with Maximum Tuning and you will be fine. They know what they are doing!

All together a VB costs only 350 installed. A tranny cooler can add about 60-70 extra but hell why not do it. I would do it but I'm ready for a 5 speed. Once I get enough dough stashed up for a donor VLSD here we come!!

You can get a turbo (custom made) For around 2500-3000 to get around 220+ bhp. But getting over 200 bhp on bolt ons can get annoying. Especially on an auto like mine. BTW the VG has 160bhp. probably = about 130 hp to the wheels.

Okay, PUNK..

that's all you need to know right there. make a few phone calls if you're serious about it and stop asking people's opinions that have never had the work done.

but since you have to know EVERYTHING before you even call them,
All together a VB costs only 350 installed. A tranny cooler can add about 60-70 extra but hell why not do it.
that installed price is YOU doing the install. you'll need more parts (like fluid and a couple gaskets) that aren't in the kit, and it's goign to run you at least $350 for it.

Now if you want to talk more about it, why don't you call Jeff@ MT yourself and get the information from the source instead of getting it 2nd or 3rd-hand (or worse).. It only takes a few minutes to type out an email.
PUNK.
