Need Advice

I bought a rear parallel link kit from matt and I'm having problems installing it. I'm not sure what these "things" are that are on each side of the rear crossmember. There is two of them and each one connects to a rear parallel link. They have springs on them and I think they have something to do with abs. I want to keep these "things" when I put the new kit on. I think I will need to weld these on to the new links for it to be done right but, I don't know.

Has anybody had problems with this? Can somebody give me some ideas?
