Hey..I just bought a 89' maxima GXE..state inspection says that the lamps in the bumper skin are parking lights and should light up as so...I can not see how these are parking lamps..they work as turn signals and flashers. Should these light with the head lamps or not???? I am a Noob!

Mine only come on as turn signals and flashers????? Anyone ever have this problem?

the lights in the bumper just underneath the headlights are just blinkers and do not function as parking lights. The lights that touch the edge of the headlight and wrap around are the cornering lights and should come on with parking lights.

 

Cmon guys which is it???? they do not light ...right???? I hope so..

I just seen the fog lamp rewire pic of yours at night Craig and yours are not on with the head lamps either..that is my answer..thank you for posting a reply!!!

 

they're supposed to be blinkers/flashers...you can rewire them to be on with the parking lights, but theres only 1 power wire that goes to them for the signals, so if they still say you're wrong pull it out and show them the wire

 

I thought mine came on. maybe they're miswired
or maybe I'm just thinking of one of my other car

 

The lights on the bumper are most definately you signals.
