i have a msd 6al but i haven't bought the tach adapter to make it work yet. i've seen how well it sparks by pulling the distributor and spinning it... basically that was very badass. the amount of spark over stock is incredible.

if you touched the spark plug wire somewhere in the middle you shouldn't have gotten shocked. if near the ends its possible to get shocked but usually not very likely. you might want to check your wires for cracks and such.
