i have a msd 6al but i haven't bought the tach adapter to make it work yet. i've seen how well it sparks by pulling the distributor and spinning it... basically that was very badass. the amount of spark over stock is incredible.

I have HEI, you know that thing that ford owners pay big bucks to have modified to work in their engines.

they do increase the spark by a good bit, i made the mistake of touching one of the spark plug wires while the engine was running (ouch) and i also have noticed that it helps the car rev a bit faster

if you touched the spark plug wire somewhere in the middle you shouldn't have gotten shocked. if near the ends its possible to get shocked but usually not very likely. you might want to check your wires for cracks and such.
