exhaust time

I will be replacing my exhaust soon. I have no emissions in MS. Should I consider removing the cat or replacing with a high flow? Don't want the loud annoying high pitch crap sound you can hear from 3 blocks away. Won't be doing a y-pipe for a while. Any set up or size ideas? 91 se auto
THANKS

If your current exhaust is okay, don't bother to change it. If you want to spend $ on an exhaust mod, buy a Y. Will give a nice note and performance. Most mufflers you buy that are cheap, will sound like crap.

I would recommend getting a complete setup from Warpspeed.com. they do good work and its a good price. I think it will run you $500 for Y pipe, new hi flow cat, b pipe, and a magnaflow muffler that sounds good in my opinion. since you dont have emmisions, I would either run a cat and no resonator, or no cat and a resonator, I think it gives it a better deeper sounding tone. but its your prefference....if you have the y pipe and lets say 2 1/2" pipe all the way back and a 2 1/2" muffler of some sort without anthing else, it would sound pretty loud..

if you don't want the high pitch stuff, go with Ravin, Magnaflow, flowmaster or greddy. None of those have that annoying pantented Honda Ricer sound to them. I have a Ravin on mine and I love it.

And you can keep your stock cat, unless you want a high flow, and go either 2.25 or 2.5 on the piping. Most people will tell you 2.25.

I sell 3 out of 4 of those exhaust brands , actually all 4 but greddy is a little bit harder for me to lay my hands on.
