Here we go again. You don't care about the cost????? How much are willing to spend? $10 grand? $15 grand?

If you ask this question, mostlikely you are NOT gonna or able to do it yourself.
It is VERY EASY if you dump all the cash you saved in it (may not be enough) and ask some custom shop to do it. Otherwise, forget about it.

give it a try...i heard stillen had something you can use to swap it in easier or something. da-max would have more info on it.

i say go out and pick up the motor ASAP..make sure it's the twin turbo version. then measure the engine and then your engine bay in the car. should fit like a glove.

If you are gonna spend that much, might as well get an RB26DETT. I heard Cattman developed custom motor mounts so it can bolt right in!

call Stillen...866-250-5542

VG->VG30DETT Engine Conversion Package
Part Number: 504560
MSRP: $575.00
Our Price: $350.00

I think it comes with the wiring and all that...make sure when you call explain to them exactly what kit it is, sometimes they forget that it is still in production or get confused and say its not in stock or whatever, but it usually is.

Why would anyone want a 300+ hp *FRONT* drive car? Are you going to do import dragging with it?

I think you'd be better off finding a nice used J30 (since it's rear drive), gutting it, and then throwing in the VG30DETT. I'm no expert in slightest, but that's what I'd do. I don't think the VG30DETT would fit in a J30 either though...

Some people prefer the drivetrain. If you look at some of the big drag event's they do have 500+hp FWD systems. Of course they're not street legal. But why by a new car when you can swap engines for around the same cost. Granted you do all the work.

you need to get out more...300hp in a FWD car is a more than stable base for a daily driven street car

I've experienced the beauty of putting 3 people in a hatch and driving around this last week. Honda engines dont take to kindly to that
hehehehehe, seriously, shakes so much i swear the thing is going to fall apart.

My advice is:

1) If you want a VG30TT, buy a 300zx Twin Turbo.

2) If you want to go faster than you can in a Maxima, buy something that is faster than a Maxima.

3) If you can afford $10k + to try and shoehorn an engine into your car that wasn't designed to fit in your car, you can afford a faster car.

4) If you want to stay in the Maxima family, install a turbo or buy a 4th or 5th gen and buy a supercharger.

a good LSD solves that and truthfully these days 300hp fwds are a dime a dozen, its not "big" anymore when you only bust 300.
