I know this has been talked about before but my search doesnt seem to work. i want to know is there only 1 sensor or 2 in the 3rd gen. and how do i check for a failing O2 sensor? also its a vg engine (89 maxima).

 

only one o2, and if you look in the stickies there is a way to check the o2 via ECM code.
The o2 will not neccessarily trip the Check Engine light, even if it has totally failed.
