Does your hood rattle?
Does your hood rattle?
A lot of you probably know this but I've never seen it posted. So FYI--If your hood rattles or there is play up and down when it is latched, the little round bumpers in the front are adjustable. They are spiral cut and will screw in and out to raise and lower to make the hood close tightly. The bad news is they are probably hard as rocks and will just break off. The good news is new ones are about four bucks each and make the hood close tight and spring up nicely when the inside latch release is pulled.
BUT wait there is more lol.
There are also 2 big cone shaped bumpers on the hood itself. This also helps put pressure to pop it up. They become flat and you will be amazed if you get new ones how big they actually are compared to the old ones. They are located in the middle of the hood and may be covered by the seal (they are right behind the seal). They are also only a couple of bucks. The upper ones are actually the ones that are supposed to help with the hood springing up when you pop the latch. The screw type are just supports to even out the sides. Well I say that but they all work together for the hood to work right.
I replaced all my rubber bumpers (front and rear) so my hood and trunk would sit right and work like new.

Of the top ones?
Here you go if that is what you are talking about. These are the replacement ones. They are much bigger around than the ones that were squished.

i believe that part number is wrong. i think thats for the fiberglass piece thats on the hood. i was told by the stealer the part number for the top is 625840. i dont have the bottom one.
edit: the part numbers are 62840 and 65823. total came to 17.01 for all of them. When i was taking mine out, they didnt want to come out, so they just broke off, the rubber was so old it just cracked all over the place, nasty!
